Riding The Wind

This is my picture for the motion project.

Again it's of the adorable Christina. In this picture you can see I had Christina outside, but to get her in that flying state with the umbrella, I had her skipping as I panned along with her. The umbrella is actually from my friend from another class. It was fun using it as a prop. Though you won't see it, we used it in a lot of photo.

In this image I tired to get the background out of focus and Keep her in focus. Really the only thing in focus is her Michael Jackson shirt. She was just a doll working with when it came to trying this shot because it took me a little while to actually figure out how to pan this at the right speed. Again the backgrounk looks painted and smuged with being unfocused.

I like how this turned out. A lot. It reminds me a little of how Mary Poppins flew away with her umbrella. Except hers wasn't as big or rainbow. And she didn't wear skinny jeans or a Michael Jackson "Off The Wall" tee. Hahah. It's always great working with my buddy Christina.

Anyways. this is all I have to say for now.

Depth of Field Shot

This is Christina for my depth of field project.

In this print you can see that the background turned out almost paint like due to the lighting of the trees as she stares off into space. You can't really tell what she is thinking and it adds feeling to the picture....

The hardest thing for me here was choosing between this on or another one that was really adorable. I liked the background of this one better, but The other one, Christina was in better focus. She's still in focus here though and I really like how it turned out. It was taken outside in the trees and I focused only on Christina. Though you can tell only a little bit, you can see our coats in the background sprawled about to add more effect..

I am very happy with the lighting in this picture. You can see her face and her body and everything is just wonderful to me considering lighting.

This image is successful to me. Very successful. You can see emotion, depth of field and lighting.

That's all for now. 'Till next time. ;D

My Second Print - Defying Gravity

This is my second print of Omar.

In this print you can see that Omar looks almost as if he is running off a mountian/feild. Though it's a little dark in the pper left corner, you can still make out that he is there and you can also make out some steps and some leaves from the trees in the background.

Printing this one was harder than the first, due to the density of the background. I tried doing a dodging technique that Ms. Miles told me about and It helped with seeing the leaves in the background a little bit. ALso you can tell that I focused mainly on Omar and tried to un-focus the background A bit.

I probably should have went on the other-side of him so the area behind wouldn't be so dense. Obviously this was taken outside the class on the hill right outside the Art classrooms.

I think this image isn't as successful as my first, but still successful. I like how the angle of it turned out and the lighting in it for the most part. The only thing I don't like is the problem with the density in the background. That's all.

Okay, thank you and till later.

First Final Print

This is one of my final prints of Omar from my Photography 1 class.

The process of printing this was very cool and challenging to get it at first. But I'm glad it came out so well. I'm very glad that I chose this one, because I think it was one of the best that I took. I think that there is only one other one that's good.

One girl in my class said that it looked like he was "On top of the world". That made me a little happy. I'm not sure why. Maybe because some one noticed it and made a comment about it.

I was glad Mrs. Almurez reminded us multiple times to watch our time and to always do a test strip. It's very helpful.

Well, that's all I can really say right now. I'll be sure to get my next print done and to upload it soon.
